Vicky Charles
Clinical Psychologist
Hi, I'm Vicky Charles
I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2013 and I spent the early years of my career working in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. It's here that I developed an authentic understanding of the impact of childhood trauma and ruptures to safe attachments and our relationships.
In 2019 I left the NHS and began working within private practice to expand my work with adults. I work with people who may be experiencing a range of difficulties including low mood, depression, anxiety and work related stress. And offer progressive ways to help people heal from the impact of trauma (in early and later life), grief and loss.
I offer an integrative therapeutic approach tailored to the person in front of me, through specialist training in approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy and CBT. I believe in the value of a trusted, therapeutic relationship in helping people to address the challenges they are facing in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space.
I am passionate about helping people move beyond therapy, to live a meaningful life in line with their values.

In my free time I love taking time out for walks with my dog, and love spending time in natural spaces.
