Eirian is an invaluable addition to the team at Beyond Barriers by helping us bring progressive body-based approaches to our work, through Yoga therapy.

Eirian is a Senior yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance (ERYT500+) and Yoga Therapist with the British Council of Yoga Therapy (BCYT), and offers Yoga therapy to meet a range of needs.  She specialises in supporting people during periods on burnout, stress and anxiety, and also specialises in difficulties with sleep.  She integrates well with psychological approaches and can offer standalone courses of Yoga therapy, or work alongside our Psychologists.

Eirian's holistic approach to wellness, means that she draws on lived and learned experiences and her sessions will offer you a supportive environment that encourages personal insight, inspiration and self-regulation.

With an emphasis on slowing down to truly feel, listen and respond to life’s challenges, together you’ll develop a personalised therapy plan to help you build a more compassionate and connected relationship with yourself.

Tailored towards your healing, her therapeutic practices blend gentle postures, somatic movement, breathing, meditation, chanting or relaxation techniques.

With a special focus on helping you to…

Sleep better

Build resilience to stress

Balance mood and emotional states

Regulate your nervous system

Restore depleted energy reserves

Find mental clarity & enhance concentration

Improve circulation, respiration and digestion

Ease tension, manage pain & improve joint mobility

A course of Yoga Therapy consists of 5 to 8 sessions.  These are usually booked weekly for the first course and bi-weekly for further courses depending on your needs.

The first session runs for 90 minutes and includes:

  • Health Questionnaire Discussion

  • Your current priorities & goal setting

  • Postural, Breathing and Movement assessment

  • Guided Restorative Experience

  • Home practice co-creation

From the second session onwards, the sessions last 60 minutes where we work on refining your home practice, reviewing what’s working and what should be changed whilst revising goals/priorities together.

Please get in touch if you'd like to arrange a call to understand your needs and share how Yoga therapy could help you reconnect with your body, manage big emotions and bring balance to the way you approach life.
