Hi, I'm Grace

I'm final-year trainee Clinical Psychologist offering subsidised therapeutic support to those with low-medium income. I have years of experience working with children, adults, and older adults in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, supporting people with difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, long-term physical health, and adjustment.

I am particularly passionate about helping people to better understand themselves, partly informed by my work in neuropsychological and clinical health services. Scientific evidence and my clinical experience highlights the impact the brain has on our body, and vice versa, and understanding this is key to beginning to move forwards.

My priority is to provide a calm and containing space where you can feel safe to share and explore together. I take a person-centred approach and, guided by your needs and goals, draw on evidence-based models such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I am a big believer in the value of spending time outdoors, in nature, and have committed to going for a walk every day for the past 5 years - whether for 10 minutes or 2 hours - which I find helps to regulate my thoughts and feelings. You'll often find me with muddy boots in the Peak District. I have offered Walk & Talk therapy in the past to help people engage with the outdoors and take some of the intensity out of the therapy room.

Qualifications:
BSc (Hons) Psychology
Post-graduate certificate in CBT

All therapy offered is supervised weekly by a regulated senior clinical psychologist
